Hi there and thanks for your comment...Your first ever on my posts. :)
People are affected to a greater or lesser degree and some not at all, however it would be a brave (probably foolish) person who said there has been generally no affect. This pandemic situation (the governments reactions to it) is going to have far-reaching financial implications around the globe and that will affect all of us. How can it not?
Still, having said that, we have to watch out for ourselves and make sure our own health, physical and mental, is taken care of...That was the point of my post...People are hurting, whether they admit it and show it or not.
In Australia we had some devastating fires towards the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020. Then covid and the shutdowns, job losses and businesses failing...It's still happening...Only yesterday Virgin Australia (an airline) announced 1/3 of their staff will be put off...And that's after they were saved by a buyer after going into receivership only weeks into the covid thing. I'm in the property industry...I see commercial and residential figures all day every day...They are not good positive figures despite what the media report. Those problems will filter down to everyone eventually...Even those saying they don't have problems.
The point of my post? I guess the importance of asking are you ok and possibly not pushing it out there too hard that things are fine for a person, especially when so many others are hurting. I've seen a few do that to others who are hurting and it's not cool. It may have been a pointless post though I guess because human nature is unlikely to change after 45,000 years.
Thanks for your comment. I appreciate it.
