As far as guns go I focus on having a little of everything. I'm a long range shooter at the core, however make sure I'm very proficient at other forms of shooting and guns. It seems to make sense. I just did a post about this actually. (The various guns I shoot.) I also make sure my wife is proficient in the use of all of my guns which I think is sensible. I've got quite a few and it is tough at times to keep her at a good level of comfort with them but we make it work.

I like Glock's but have never owned one. I have a couple CZ 9mm semis though, the Shadow 2 and P-09 with the polymer P-09 being the most like a Glock. It will fire in a barrel of mud. Accurate and whilst not the smoothest gun to shoot it can work really nicely. I shoot IPSC handgun with both.
