Blockchain and cryptocurrency in Africa

Clearly the poorest world is Africa. There is political instability, violence and poverty. Of the 25 poorest countries in the world, up to 20 are in Africa. The complicated situation in which Africa is located could be written in piles of reports that would not be enough to make an objective assessment of all the causes. Exactly in Africa, projects are being explored, with the aim of solving some problems affecting the locals by blockchain and cryptocurrency.

Available internet for all

In Europe, today's ability to instantly connect to the Internet is considered as a matter of course. On the other hand, Africa has the possibility to use the Internet regularly only 30% of the population. Several projects using the blockchain are also trying to solve this problem. One of these is the Open Garden project, which offers the opportunity to share Internet with people around you using a mobile application. The application has its own Open Garden coin and uses the Stellar blockchain. The RightMesh project, using Ethereum blockchain and own coins (RMESH), also offers a solution to this problem. This is also about creating a network with mesh network using mobile phones.

From the start of the economy to nature conservation

In addition to the availability of the Internet, there are a number of other areas in which cryptoms and blockchains can be helped. Several African countries are confronted with the instability of the state currency. Therefore, they are considering the use of cryptomeni to restart the economy by state authorities in Zimbabwe or Botswana.

A celebrity wants to contribute to the sea. Singer Akon publishes his menu Akoin and wants to build a smaller town in Senegali with its own decentralized paycheck. Other projects include, for example, the emerging network of wind turbine power plants in Morocco, or wildlife protection using Bitcoin in Namibia.

conclusion

There are several projects and plans that involve the use of blockchain and cryptocurrency to improve living standards in Africa. Even if only a fraction of them succeeded, it would be a success. While attempts to exploit cryptocurrency to rescue crashing economies are questionable, the spread of the Internet using the blockchain and the poorest of the regions makes sense because the Internet is now the bearer of education and the educated inhabitants are the basis of a prosperous state.
