In the Philippines (as a developing country), purchasing gadgets is really hard. Honestly speaking, when I was working full-time in the government, I needed two months to buy a mid-range gadget. My salary was actually 10$ a day and overtime is not compensated by the Bureau. It was meager that I could not really enjoy what I receive every fifteen days. I tend to make artworks then so that at least, I would have some amount to spare in times of need.

Meanwhile in Steemit , it is different. It breaks barriers such as financial constraints! Imagine that! I only stay at home and share some things here and then I get paid. For the past few weeks, I was able to buy things that I need as an artist. I badly need! I really wanted to invest on materials which would be good for me in growing as a traditional artist. My mom also agreed with me on that one.

I am happy to share to you all that I was able to buy Prismacolor colored pencils, watercolors, mid-range phone (to capture images around me), and a drawing tablet!

I bought this yesterday afternoon. I should have bought Samsung Tab 3 S pen but I find it very expensive. This one is at par with iPad Pro though. Consider that my budget is just really tight.

NO KIDDING GUYS! All things to Steemit! I have always wanted to own one. I wanted to create cute illustrations. I feel it is a need also because I could also explain in few days from now what Steemit is using my new tablet. I am preparing the things that I would discuss to some of my friends because they requested for a tutorial.

Oh before I forget, I wanted to thank anomadsoul@anomadsoul for the competition you made! Although I was not the grand winner, I was able to buy the tablet that I was eyeing for days already. Yehey!

I also feel great because awhile ago, I met one of the local artists in Cagayan de Oro City. Do not worry guys! I will really introduce him on an interview. I also invited him to join Steemit. He said he could not wait to be part of this wonderful platform. Imagine this, but this is real though. Hahaha! He sent me the Sketch App full version. I am just so excited to try it. And because of my excitement, I fell asleep. Haha! I could not stop thanking him many times.

I told him to try it and here is a sample work from him while we were at the restaurant talking after we ate our dinner. He said the pen is great. I told him that it is the main reason why I bought it. I have no luck over Photoshop no matter how hard I try and study.

At first I could not determine what he was making though. I though he was planning to sketch a bell because Jingle Bells all the way! Okay, my joke is not that good.

But the moment he was done with the body, I got astonished by it.

I am really giddy to make him part of our growing family and to artguildph@artguildph and steemph. At first he was not that convinced but then I was able to after few attempts. He also said that he is one of the bread winners of his family so I did not hesitated to share it to him.
