Many of us stumble since we were little: we fall, we get up, we stagger and we keep trying, in this process, many of my loved ones have left me one or another teaching, putting wise words in my heart, that I try to remember whenever it is necessary, love, sincerity, respect, acceptance and perseverance, are words that sound easy but they are not, yet I try to carry them with me every day as best as I can. Today I decided to give you some tips that have changed my life for the better, so here we go:
There are no perfect friendships, but there are sincere friendships.
This advice was given to me by @jesusfermin .... And since he gave it to me it has changed my perspective on friendship, because it's worthless to have the "perfect friendship" if in that friendship you can't be yourself, you can't say what hurts you, bothers you or makes you uncomfortable, for fear of hurting someone's ego. I have had situations that have tried to change my perception about sincerity, but still a small part of me stays true to myself and refuses to lie just to please others, yet I know that my sincerity can hurt, but that's something I'll talk about another time. The thing here is: If you need to have a mask to keep that friendship, better end it, people will come into your life who will value your sincerity, your efforts, your affection and will scold you to exhaustion when you are wrong, will tell you what you did wrong, and will keep you close because of what is authentic in you. This is the voice of experience, who has been silent, laughed and cried with a mask, and who in other places is known and loved for being herself.
Learning where the limits of others are, learning to control yourself and learning to take care of your friends, will come when you can communicate, because as I say, there are no perfect friendships, but there are friendships that know how to tell you their truth.
Abraza tus cargas | Embrace your burdens
I have already mentioned this advice before, but I always emphasize it because it amazes me how from such simple things we can get great reflections. My mom and I always say to each other whenever we go to the supermarket and we have a bag that is too heavy, "Hug it, so it weighs less" .... And until recently I really didn't realize the reality of those words. Many times we have personal burdens that we can't let go, an illness, a job, studies, all these things create situations where you just want to run away and not look back, but how do you run away from an illness? How do you run away from your career if you are passionate about it and you are just going through a bad patch? This is where my advice comes in, embrace your problem, accept your illness, accept that you won't always be the best or things will happen the way you want them to, take a deep breath and think "If I accept it it will be easier". Obviously this advice is not always applicable, because not all situations are the same, but in case you know that what you want is behind a difficulty that you know you can bear, then embrace this problem, I assure you that it will weigh less.
Aprende a soltar | Learn to let go
It is a virtue to travel with light baggage, and no, I don't mean that literally, but in the most abstract sense, carrying our grudge, pride and past situations will always make your journey in this life slower, more boring and tedious. Learning to forgive is something that cost me a lot, but over time I learned to be the type of person who lives the frustration and pain in that moment, and then let it go and not come back. All emotions deserve to be felt, even the ugliest ones, that doesn't mean you have to get caught up in one or the other, at the end of the day going up and down is part of life, and the only sure thing other than death, is change. So learn to let go, learn to pack light, to take the positive from situations and let go of what can only sink you, remember that when you forgive something, you do it for you, not for others, and that does not mean you have to forget things, you just have to learn from them without holding a grudge.
And well those were some tips that I have learned throughout my short life, I know that many of them you may have heard somewhere, still I like to give my perception about it, my conclusion for you is: live, laugh, enjoy, cry, suffer, be yourself and in the process take care of who loves you and loves who cares for you馃挄. If you made it this far:
