Here I present to you the childhood of the vast majority of us
Well, I think the vast majority of us use social networks, right? I think you have to be too young not to use them these days, (even my almost 3-year-old knows how to use YouTube better than me, lol). Well, I also suppose that we all lived in the days of the Games Market on Facebook, where there were literally thousands and thousands of games, back then it was not so necessary to download games to have fun, with just the browser you could enjoy fun titles, of course, without expecting much XD.
But Facebook back then was booming, we literally all know Candy Crush, well it comes from Facebook, Criminal Case,s and one of the best (for me), Pet Society. A rather childish game that even adults played because it was extremely fun, plus it helped you share it with your entire list of friends on Facebook (if they played it, of course). I was a fan of Facebook games, Red Crucible was an FPS that I played for many years, it's a pity that it disappeared :(. Well, I also played Candy Crush and a lot more, but without a doubt, one of the ones that marked me the most was ** Pet Society.**
The truth is that I can't imagine that there are people who haven't played it (I think you have to be too old or too young) if you don't know, I'll explain it to you, this game was about pets as its name says, we literally had a house and we had to complete missions to earn coins and thus be able to buy a lot of things, one of them are decorations for the house, painting walls, furniture, beds, sofas, lamps, clothes, accessories, etc. The truth is that it was too addictive to be changing your house room by room, it reminds me a bit of what Habbo was.
One of the best things was to visit your friends, yes, we could travel and visit them, see their house and obviously interact. It was very common to want to have the best houses, the most expensive items, and the most exotic clothes, obviously, that makes you feel like a fucking king in the game haha. The ways of interacting were varied, we could visit them, send them messages, and letters, give them objects, invite them to our house, and even take photos hahaha. I mean, I think everyone already realized that he is just a cute little game, but it wasn't just that, it was addictive to buy and improve your house to the maximum, collect money for beautiful clothes, that was the science of the game in general.
Although it sounds strange, we can also have pets, we must take care of them and ourselves too. I loved going out to "explore", I say it in quotes because you only went from house to house, you literally looked like an intruder XD. You could also go to strangers' houses, why not? Honestly, the most addictive thing is to buy your house and start decorating it room by room, I don't know why but it's too satisfying to do it, I literally did it too much, and it's a shame not to be able to recover any of that and show my progress, it would be nice to go back to that nice time lol
I don't remember at all when the Facebook game market closed, but when it did, Pet Society was also taken away... Candy Crush, Criminal Case, and several other games became independent and went directly to the Play Store after a while, but Pet Society didn't, sadly he left and abandoned us hahaha. It was too promising a game, I'm sure many users would play it even if it still existed.
The game was fun, the missions were fun too, fishing, exercising, playing with your pet, buying food, I mean, literally everything was fun to do, it was a stupid game but not at the same time, it won too many people's hearts lol hahaha. Something that motivated the players was the level system, yes, because we could also level up and improve everything, obviously leveling up was not that easy, we had to complete missions, and when you already have high levels it can take up to weeks to beat a level. Leveling up helps us to unlock loads of items, the more level you are, the better the rewards too, lol, it's all brutal.
I remember visiting Chinese houses, yes, those sons of bitches had too much money, and obviously, as in any game you can buy coins, they were millionaires and they unlocked everything incredibly fast, that was incredible because they invested too much money in a simple game of dogs and cats XD So far nothing like it exists, yes, there are some copies but they are crap, I think it will never come back and this game will simply be forgotten, it died a legend for all Facebook players. Hopefully one day the owners of this game will release a new sequel, in fact, I read a few years ago that there were people who complained directly to EA because they took the game out of circulation and they had invested a lot of time and money, I was talking about that above oh, bad enough for the developers...
