Hello @erh.germany!
Thank you for your excellent insights with what happened, I very much appreciate it!
The reference to zeitgeist gives me an entirely different perspective, one which adds a great deal of clarity.
The influence of the energy in these environments is that of aggression and for need to be validated and heard throughout the audience.
The aspect of certain individuals of polarized sexes being given power roles in the environment adds to the bloodlust of the stoning.
I can now see how this altered my own energy and need for validation when the only validation necessary is the voice which guides the inner me.
This is at least how I see it now after giving considerable thought to the situation, and after processing your words for a couple of days.
You probably had an inkling of what could happen if you made a comment that could be taken as offensive
Oh yes, always a guarded feeling and careful expression of wording. Must not upset the moderators because they are professionals in the field of moderating abusive people. The juxtaposition blows my mind.
Moderation in a real life setting does not exist in the same cancel culture fashion as it does digitally, but it certainly exists at the self moderation level and the appointed positions of societal structure.
The social conditioning has been very effective in policing in every form.
Well, you've stuck your toe in the water and found that normality is unwanted and, in the absence of perpetrators within such groups (because the feel they all are victims), misdeeds are absolutely needed to continue riding the narcissism horse.
I consistently pick apart psychologies and find that there are an incredible amount of inexplicable things which are the aspects which make us all uniquely different yet the same. Like reflections of one another, in our emotional state(s).
To keep the eyes bleeding through pages of identifiers why A,B,C, and D happened, sometimes it is far better to release the trauma and move onto more positive things. Any obsession which adheres to the negative will likely result in a negative outcome.
I have the attitude that everyone who grew up in modern civilisation has certain neurotic, narcissistic, psychotic and other mental disorders (myself included)
All of us yes lol :D
A group that has the ultimate goal of suppressing any form of verbal insult will not be able to follow their own rules and will pounce on the first one who gives cause to shout "Here! Stone him!". LOL One of my favorite quotes is that the ten commandments are only there because we cannot follow them and that's the whole purpose of having them written down. I probably did hand you the chapter where I have it from, did I?
My memory fails me at the moment if you did, but I seem to remember "Here! Stone him!" from you at some point lol.
One's own suppressed lust is expressed in this, probably similar to the horror of atrocities while enjoying them at the same time. As, for example, the Puritans were said to have done when they threw gay men into the river with a heavy stone tied to their foot.
The depth to what you are speaking on here is staggering in its existential meaning to Mankind. In the perceptual journey of life, how can anything be described as good if we do not have a reference for what is bad?
I'll likely be staying away from those help groups in the future, and agree with what you mean regarding the more positively based communities.
If we tallied our greatest accomplishments in life, many or most of them come from the answers within I think. Of course there are plenty of kindred souls around and we reflect with one another :)
It's always a pleasure experiencing your amazing depth of thought.
Thank you my friend :)
