Your thoughts on the active keys being in your phone are pretty logical.

If you lost your phone and someone found it, I think the odds are low that it would be someone who knows what to do with those keys, and you would probably have time to change your keys.

However that's not a risk I would be willing to take, and would recommend that no one keep keys above the posting level on any devices they carry around.

I can see how it would be more convenient sometimes, but probably not a necessity if you can perform your higher authority transactions from a computer at home.

Crypto security is important to understand, especially with how rapidly computing is evolving.
