I think maybe we have a similarity with long windedness.

It's understandable that maybe they became bored to tears but I bet it helped them learn a lot, and also was a nice expressive outlet to be able to talk to your children about things for you :)

I guess it's a little unrelated but still kind of related, that in terms of long windedness, I'd rather have a bored listener than a disruptive interrupter lol.

It's hard to converse with so many people. Certain types seem to degrade intellect, in that they do not allow the speaker to even get to the point of what they are saying before interruption/interjection. I'm ok with the interjection style of conversation if it flows well where both parties are comprehending things and interjecting at the right moments for clarity or added points. It can quickly become stressful with the types who interrupt claiming to know what you were going to say before getting to the meat and potatoes, and the world is flooded with this type of communication. I could probably write a book about why I think that is ;D

The strange thing for me, in reading his life description through your book review, is there are a lot of similarities with my own life. Similar childhood, similar life struggles with jail, etc.. and didn't "find myself" until after going through lots of hell. It gave me a new outlook on life :)

I connect it even further, in this wild way of having something in common with this guy and I loved his books as a kid. Talk about "meant to be."

I actually think I should read this book again as an adult. I'll probably comprehend it a lot better.

Things are good here this week, a bit hectic for me too, as I get summoned as the voice of reason for others who need my advice but resist it lol, hectic indeed.

Thanks for your nice response and I hope the rest of your week and weekend is nice and relaxing for you :)
