Hello Everyone,

Today the Big Mack Superstars and Lemon drip seeds are showing some green and getting ready to shed their shells.

There are two BMS pops and one Lemon Drip pop currently. The other seeds have not popped yet, and are not showing signs that they will.

I'll leave them a few more days at least with hopes that I'll get at least one or two more pops. I'm not very pleased with a 50% result and feel I must have done something wrong, that it's no fault of these healthy seeds. I may have drowned them accidently with too much saturation.

With four days in a paper towel, they could still pop. I'll maintain some optimism and won't give up just yet.

I started feeling a little paranoid about the placement of the seedlings and decided to move them out of the direct light until after the cotyledons (first leaves) are fully exposed. Having them in too intense light at first can cause them to dry up and die, and I would rather risk some minimal stretching than dead seedlings.

Graptopetalum/Sedum hybrid succulent in 3D printed pots

This is a graptopetalum/sedum hybrid I've been growing for a few years, despite looking like a couple of babies. I've had various mother plants die and these tiny clones are all that's left of non stop failures with growing this plant. It's amazing I've managed to always get a petal here and there to carry on this plant, but I've come close to losing it completely a couple of times.

I think I've finally figured out how to take care of this plant properly. It requires a constant warm temperature with not much wind. I'm not sure if wind or cool temps were killing the plants before, or maybe even diseases. I am planning to run all kinds of environmental tests on this succulent, but first I must grow some acceptable mother plants that I can clone petals from. This will take some time, probably another year before I can run tests.

That will do it for this garden update.

Your time is a valuable commodity, and I always keep this in mind and do my best to respond to everyone. Thanks so much for stopping by , have a great day! -futuremind@futuremind
