When the sun's rays started peeking from behind the corner of the house, Ducky was already on the balcony railing, first coffee and cigaret of the day done and now feet up, waiting for the other lazy balls to catch up.
Temperatures behind the window in the sun were hitting high teens and surely would touch 30 as the day rolled on.
So we grabbed Ducky and headed to the lake, to have a nice swim and hang out in the sun. Since Ducky is tiny, he doesn't have a designated sitting spot and can be just pocketed - this time though, he decided to ride on the dash. Perhaps the speed was too much or maybe he was commenting on the dust on the dash, he almost slipped off the dash as we made the last turn to the lake.
"Instagram this, suckas!" Social media is Ducky's weakness and vanity is one of his vices. So let him have his moment and pose for the shots.
We could only hope the hot roof of the car wouldn't melt his buttocks.
Another scene, another pose for the photo. We tried this corner and that, but the bridge kept on rocking, and Ducky nearly fell in the water and drowned. Of course our gang consists of world class swimmers and divers, so no real threat ever existed, but we settled on the less rocking corner of the bridge.
"Best Regards from the beach, peace!"
Later on, we dried and sat on the old tires on the beach, repurposed as benches, but Ducky preferred the company of his own color.
He slipped off the tire and went exploring the beach. "Don't go too far, mate!" we said. Ducky nodded. But he likes to fool around.
He felt right at home with the dandelions. Camouflage!
A little tanning, toes in the sand and we can call it a productive day, can't we? Just don't bring the sand in the car with you, eh?
