Today’s post is a little different because I only managed to take one photo, and honestly, it happened because I was rushing.
Waking up late always throws my rhythm off. I had plans lined up, and suddenly I found myself trying to squeeze in a walk and a quick photo session without messing up everything else I needed to do. It’s frustrating, because photography (and walking) feels best when I’m not hurried. When I’m relaxed, I notice more. I experiment more. I enjoy the moment instead of chasing it.
Still, I’m glad I didn’t skip it completely.
This single photo feels like a small reminder that “something” is better than “nothing.” The leaves stood out to me right away, simple shapes, layered together, with one leaf in the center looking steady and clear while everything behind it fades into a softer blur. I like how it creates depth, like the subject is quietly stepping forward from the crowd. Even with limited time, nature still offered a scene worth keeping.
Maybe that’s part of the lesson today: not every day will be perfect, and not every walk will be long. Sometimes the schedule wins. Sometimes the alarm loses. But if I can still pause for a few seconds, look closely, and press the shutter once, then I’ve kept the habit alive. And that matters to me.
The weather was great today, which made the quick walk feel lighter. I’m hoping tomorrow brings the same kind of sky, and a better start on my end too. I’m planning to wake up earlier so I can give myself more breathing room, more steps, and hopefully more photos to share.
For now, this is my one shot of the day, and I’ll take it.
Have a good day ahead.
