If there is one quote that speaks loudly about how to be successful here in Steemit, it has to be the one stated above. I can personally attest to that. And I think every newcomer should think about it as well.
Although there are users that are privileged enough to be affiliated with a high-stake user in the platform, majority of us are not. Majority of the users were on-boarded through steemit.com or through the initiative of Dapps built on steem blockchain not knowing anybody in the platform.
It is frustrating on the part of a new user not knowing how everything works in steem. Learning about it will take a lot of time. Some of them will learn the hard way. Although it's true that there is no easy way to be successful in this platform, it doesn't mean that it isn't possible.
The beauty of the steem ecosystem is that everyone has an equal chance of opportunity. It's up to us on how are we able to assess when it come-by and how do we win it.
Now that there are more Dapps that will cater for the interests of the users, there are more than one ways to earn a piece of the steem tokens. These Dapps are serving as avenue for a user to explore new things or to specialized on their strength. Before, I never done a restaurant review until I was introduced to Tasteem. Tasteem has encouraged me to venture into the topics that I never thought I will participate to.
I encourage every users to explore as well. What could possibly go wrong? Nothing. The worst thing that could happen is that we don't get rewarded. However, the moderators will be happy to advise and even guide us to where we could improve and amend to be able to get it right on our future contributions.
That's true. I made most of my earnings through my contributions to Utopian by helping open source projects and by creating Graphics (logo & banner) for them. My earnings from Utopian helped me grow my account by staking it to Steem power. And that's just one of the many route that you can consider in your journey.
Explore and prosper in ways that will enrich your individuality. Don't try to copy other user's success. You must make your own version of their success.
