This morning I had the pleasure of going for a walk in the garden, and I found myself amazed by a small visitor that made the morning extra special. A bee came to visit one of the flowers, and of course I took the opportunity to capture some photos of it.
I always feel excited whenever something unexpected happens during my walk. Most of the time, my subjects are flowers, leaves, vines, and the texture of plants around the garden. They are usually just there, waiting for me to notice them. But when a bee appears, the moment becomes more challenging because it can fly away anytime.
Luckily, this bee stayed for a while. I managed to move closer, observe it, and find a good angle before it left. I like how the dark body of the bee contrasts with the bright petals of the flower. In black and white, the scene became more dramatic. The flower looked soft and calm, while the bee added life and movement to the photo.
I also took some photos of the raindrops on the leaves and another blooming flower along the way. These little details remind me that the garden is always changing. Some days are quiet, while some days have little surprises waiting for me.
Moments like this remind me that life also has surprises along the way. Sometimes they are small and easy to miss, but when we recognize them and take action, they can make our day better. I think that is also one of the reasons why I enjoy photography. It teaches me to be present, observant, and grateful for simple things.
