Bordering with Castile, Andalusia and Portugal, Extremadura is an autonomous community in Spain. There are attractions such as the UNESCO World Heritage, Cáceres, Mérida or the Guadalupe Monastery. An interesting fact is that it came from many of the most famous conquistadors. Therefore, many city names on the American continent originate from this region of Spain, for example, Medellín (pictured) is a small Spanish town and the second largest city in Colombia.
