My friend is always saying the craziest things. It's like he doesn't even think before he speaks, he just blurts out whatever comes to mind. And for some reason, I always seem to be around when he says these ridiculous things.
Take for example the time I told him I had quit smoking cigarettes. I remember saying, "I quit smoking cigarettes, today I smoke the last 2." I expected some congratulations or at least a supportive comment, but instead, he just laughed and said, "If you have two more, you'll quit." I couldn't believe he had said something so insensitive. But that's just typical of my crazy friend.
And then there was the time we were standing in a shop and a woman walked by and started laughing at us. My friend, being the curious person he is, asked, "What's she laughing at?" I could tell he was genuinely confused, so I tried to explain that she was probably just having a good day and laughing at something unrelated to us. But my friend just looked at me straightly and said, "I don't know, maybe she's laughing at your pants."
I looked down and realized that I had a hole in my pants and my underwear was showing. I couldn't believe it. My friend started laughing and I just stood there feeling embarrassed and frustrated. But that's just the way my friend is – he's always making light of situations and never takes anything seriously.
Even when I had a problem with a guy who wanted to fight, my friend didn't exactly offer to help. When I asked him if we could talk to the guy and resolve the situation peacefully, he just said: "If you want, go to him, but I'll get off at my place." And with that, he was gone, leaving me to deal with the situation on my own.
Despite all of these crazy moments, I can't help but love my friend. He may be ridiculous and say the most absurd things, but he's always there for me and never fails to put a smile on my face. Plus, it's always entertaining to see what he'll say or do next. He may be my crazy friend, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
