Last week the Jupiler Pro League did start! And in the first week there was already an upset with Anderlecht loosing at home against Oostende!
Favorites Club Brugge and Genk both did start with a victory. And also Standard which can not be neglected started with taking the 3 points!
On the betting side, things didn't go exactly according to plan. With all 4 combination bets lost! Let's see if we can turn things around this week!
Just like last week and the complete season 4 combination bets!
No doubt that Club Brugge will win at home against STVV. STVV looks like they aren't ready for the season yet. While Brugge is almost already done with their homework on the transfer market. For all outgoing transfers promising new players were bought. Of course this isn't a problem when you do know that for at least 60 mill euro has been sold.
Also the first home game of the season will result in to a win for Standard Liege. Zulte really didn't impress last week against KV Mechelen. Lots of people had the opinion that Zulte would become the revelation of this season, but I do think that we were wrong. But the games between Zulte and Standard are always something special. Still I will go for Standard!
Last but not least Anderlecht away at Mouscron. Mouscron did win away from home with 0-1 against a very weak and uninspired STVV. Anderlecht on the other side did start great with 20 minutes of Champaign football after which everything went wrong. Still they do have more then enough quality to steal the 3 points away from Mouscron.
These bets are more or less always a lottery. Best thing to do is to pick smaller teams at home against bigger teams or to take games were both teams have a chance to win!
These 3 will have to do it for me!
The first home game of KV Mechelen in the Jupiler Pro League after their relegation and match fixing scandal! They do have a great fanbase which will support the troups 90 minutes long! Due to this atmosphere I do think that KV Mechelen will at least net one goal. Genk with all it's offensive qualities should also have no problem with scoring one!
The other 2 games are more a gamble.
For this combo I did use the 10% booster. So instead of odds of 4.41, the odds are 4.75.
We all like games with plently of goals, but only in just above 50% of the games we will see more than 2.5 goals. There are competition in which this average is much higher like the Second division in the Netherlands!
When the field conditions are bad, it is safer to go for the under!
I only have doubt about the Oostende - Cercle Brugge game. But I do expect an open game, so a lot of goals could be scored!
This one only has to land only once in a season to make a profit. That is always why it has the lowest stake. Only 0.25 EURO. But it could be rewarding with a potential pay-out of 22 EURO.
I don't actually hope it but I am afraid that it will happen, that Brugge will crush STVV with 4-0 and I would like to see Genk taking the 3 points at Mechelen with a 1-2 victory!
So, the bets have been placed and now it is out of my hands. My money is again where my mouth is!
One out of 4, will be enough to make a small profit!
From next post on I will also publish the betting record keeping. No use at the moment. 4 bets place, 4 bets lost and an overall loss of 3.25 EURO.
