Then why don't they block links to imgur? They have reddit images. Why not youtube? They have reddit video. Why not facebook? I have a feeling this is more related to crypto than just competition.

That is what happens. The user who posts it can still see it but no one else can. Also them going out of their way to override the subreddit overrides shows serious intent to censor.
