As a rule we have a scheduled time for all of us to read in our household. It is a time for leisure reading and not necessarily their school work. One can choose to read fictional or non fictional content, it can even be magazines. After reading we take time to speak about the new vocabularies by defining their meaning and forming sentences using them. Reading has become a fun activity in our household. The kids love it and so do we.
We have them doing other fun stuff like photography, drawing, painting, baking, playing music instruments, writing music, singing and just creating simple art. They enjoy those activities and lately I have been contemplating on introducing them to writing, but I am not too sure if it will be well received because we didn't introduce it at a young age. Maybe the rewards similar to Steemit might be a good motivation. Well we shall see... I will keep you posted.
