Thanks @millycf1976. Oh my! I can so relate to the experiences you've shared here in your response as well. I got a bit emotional too as the memories came back. Google Translate wasn't around then... lol!
Even after buying and cooking some items, I would cautiously taste it just in case it was the wrong thing. Had to remember the color of the packages and the exact location. If the supermarket ever decided to change things up...😆🙃🤔
I once wanted flour and was shown "flowers". Had to get flour on a different day when I got the translation for it.
I love those barrels too. For many reasons. Lol
Up to this day, the smiling and nodding is stuck on me. Lol
When I first went back to Jamaica, @bearmol asked me why I was nodding that much. My response was was, "I nodded just now?!" Can't stop. Haha!
@scubahead must be right. Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee is one of the most expensive ones here and the pricing is still a big jump when compared to other brands. There’s honestly a lot I don’t know about coffee but it’s such a good feeling just to see “Product of Jamaica.” We could work on getting more products out. Lol
