Wow, what a lovely story!
I got emotional reading it, not just because I am Jamaican, from Jamaica, but because I can so relate to that feeling.
Memories like these will last forever.
Your experience reminds me of when I just moved to the Netherlands - everything was written in Dutch only. I remember the meat section, especially because even though the meats might have looked familiar or what I guessed they were, I kept being hesitant. Always wondering, suppose it's horse meat or something that I have no idea how to cook and have never eaten before. I would have to write a translation so that when I go shopping I know exactly what I was buying.
I love those barrels. They can be reused in so many ways.
And finally, as @scubahead, a coffee connoisseur commented recently: Jamaica Blue Mountain and High Mountain Coffee are some of the best in the world.
