In this video I tried to break down all the aspects of vegetable gardening and permaculture. I forgot to list many positives of vegetable gardening, but what I forgot to mention was that vegetable gardening should include permaculture techniques, and also that most permaculture projects do vegetable gardening. Vegetable gardening is inherently more expensive financially, because you need to buy inputs for the soil instead of growing perennial plants in that soil that fix the nutrients. This last sentence also makes permaculture more environmentally friendly than vegetable gardening. My watering plan long term at my property is to not grow fruit trees that can't thrive without me watering them past establishment, and then not growing more vegetables and annual plants than can live off the water I collect from my roof.
