I've never been a fan of hummus. Whenever I tried it, it was bland and boring. It just didn’t taste good to me especially for someone who was born in the Caribbean and was use to eating a lot of spices. Since I have been on a journey to eat better, I though I should gave it another shot and make my own. Now it's one of my favorite snacks. By infusing this Middle Eastern classic with a spicy kick, I created a hummus that satisfies my island palate.
*Servings: 6
Rinse the chickpeas then add to a large bowl.
Add Red Bell pepper, chop onion, garlic, cumin, salt, crushed red pepper, oil, to large bowl.
Mix well and add to processor or high power blender. I used a NutriBullet.
Transfer to a serving, sprinkle it with cilantro, drizzle with olive oil.
