Yesterday I made a short walk through a polder in the neighborhood. There is a lot of water and also a lot of different water birds.
There were literally thousands of geese. On this photo you see a couple of Greylag geese.
And there will only be more geese soon because there were also a lot of gosling.
This gosling above is an Egyptian geese.
I could come really close, but it's parent kept an eye on me.
Apart from all te water birds there were also some meadow birds like this Peewit. Unfortunately I couldn't capture it flying. They have a remarkable technique.
I did spot a young Peewit; a lovely little furry fella.
Finally I spotted some ducks. This Common shelduck is called "Mountain Duck" in Dutch. I don't know what it's doing over here because we don't have any mountains in our country at all 🤣
The last bird I would like to share is this Red-crested pochard. I was just quick enough to capture it while it fled.
I'm crypto and security enthousiast with a passion for photography that likes to play games.
