^^^^^^**VIDEO**^^^^^^
Seven days ago I was nominated by @andysantics48 to make a Ten Truths and a Lie post! I had so much fun making a video and trying to successfully lie to your faces! Haha
So, I’ve scrambled up all the truths, which will all have a little story added to them, and I’ll leave the untruth for last with the winner!
When the Yeti and I were first married, we felt the Lord lead us away from our hometown, and set out on our first big adventure! We felt led back just after 3 weeks, but it left it’s mark on us, and we learned right from the start that we could do anything if we felt led!
When I was at the tender age of 9 or 10, I had gone caving with my Girl Scout troop. I wasn’t always the most observant, so when everyone was yelling “hole!” I didn’t see it and stepped right into it! Fortunately, I caught myself just in time and didn’t go all the way down! I escaped with a few bruises and some embarrassment! Sorry @edsolena and
@felt.buzz!
During our family vacation at Disney World, I had my 8th birthday! My parents kept insisting that it wasn’t for me, it just coincided. But I know better… Sorry @gamsam!
This is probably my favorite truth! I have loved @freedompoint since we were were just babes, and I’m so glad that we’ve known each other longer than we haven’t!
Within the first month of us living in the Ozarks, we were on our way home with a bed full of lumber for our loft, when car full of high twenty-somethings blazed through a stop sign and hit our truck. The Yeti tried to keep us on the road and out of harms way, but our front left tire slid off the road and hit the dirt, which caused us to flip. It was epically scary. I said in the video that no one was hurt…but the passenger in the car hit his head on the windshield and suffered a lot of blood loss. The driver had thought he killed his best friend. I’m thankful we were there though to stop their car. If they had kept going at the speed they were, they would have gone down into the woods, where only massive oaks were waiting to stop them.
Yes, this is painfully true, and it’s still a fear I have today! I’ve only tried/auditioned for things I was almost certain I’d get despite encouragement from my dance teacher and friends! Sorry @dreemsteem!
The dance studio I grew up in was invited to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which was super exciting! However, I learned what it feels like to be expected to perform without exception, and all the pressure that brings. At one point I was very sick from dehydration, but the show must go on! It was a lot like how Ollivander describes Voldemort…it was a great experience…terrible…but great.
Unfortunately, this is true! I had been doing the toddler thing through my house, and I had been walking too close to the stove, and when I lost my balance I caught myself with my right hand, severely burning it. I’m not sure what degree it was, but I do have a forever kind of scar that makes it hard to completely straighten my index finger. Sorry @cecicaster and
@pamela-paul!
The Yeti and I have hard time staying put! Haha We’ve moved a lot, but it’s always been to either better our living situation or chase after the Lord! Sorry @loladelolz and
@pjay96!
This is probably one of my favorite stories to tell. When the Yeti and I were first married and transitioning to Colorado, we decided to honeymoon there. Instead of driving back to Ohio, we decided to fly. Although the Yeti is not fond of flying, everything was going fine, until we got onto the 30 passenger plane. He definitely did not feel safe on such a tiny plane, and started to have a come-apart! So, I stepped up to my first wifely duty and demanded we be let off. I thought it would’ve been like the movies, where they didn’t listen and I would have had to press harder…maybe even cause a scene (put some acting skills to the test haha), but they let us off right away! Later, we found out from family waiting to pick us up at the other airport, that we had delayed the flight! Sorry @chekohler,
@andysantics48 and
@thefarmerswife!
Hahaha, I’ve never done this! I’m so surprised that more people hadn’t guessed this! But I’ll have to read that same book that @hebrewhousewife read on lie detecting because she is our WINNER!
Thank you again everyone for playing, it was so much fun!
