Over the past few weeks my eyes have been open to the idea of expanding my understanding of violence.
I used to always think, like most, that violence is something physical. Maybe it is fighting. Maybe it is defending ourselves physically.
I don't believe that hate speech is real. There is speech that is hateful, but it is just words. I do not condone words that call for violence, or someone impacting another's physical personal space.
The idea of what violence is or could be is pretty broad. Today I am talking about something that has been with me for a long time, and has surely been a real issue.
