It seems like the adventure always costs something. Sometimes it is money, and sometimes it is emotional. We are about to head out onto the road again, and there is certainly alot of emotions that go with that. Unfortunately, today's cost is money.
We are staying at a friends house in a small town in southern Missouri, and he needed to move back into his house. We are "moving" technically up to a cabin in the woods, but we are going on an adventure first. So the other day we headed up to check out the cabin before we leave.
The road to get up to the cabin is rough and rocky. It is actually a logging road that meets a power line easement. So the terrain is pretty terrible. Our van is plenty rugged enough to handle it, but it is two wheel drive and a little low to the ground.
As we were coming back out of the woods we noticed that the van sounded a bit different. Sure enough, we broke our exhaust. Fortunately, it broke after the muffler. So it doesn't quite sound like a race car, but more like a truck.
It reminds me of that show Once Upon A Time, when Rumple says "all magic comes at a price. ... Yep!
