On the road running some errands with my lovely bride Stacie D, and we are just kind of chatting about what happened yesterday. I heard some crap that I just didn't want to hear.
We were having a conversation yesterday about something. When all of the sudden she got a bit fired up and started to speak pretty negatively about it. I stopped her, thinking that she was going to keep getting more upset about it.
I didn't want her to for a negative response that would happen every time that we talked about it. I thought that it was something that she did actually like, and maybe one day she would change her mind about it, so whatever she was saying may not always apply.
It took me a minute to really think it through. She is an adult. She is an individual. She can say and do whatever she wants. It turns out that she was just saying crap that I didn't want to hear.
Maybe I was trying to protect the way that I thought about the content. Maybe I was trying to not let her negative words invade my thoughts and maybe change how I saw it. That could be possible.
Have you ever been in a situation when someone was saying something that you just didn't want to hear? How did you respond? Let's hear it in the comments below!
P.S. Due to technical issues while road vlogging the sound was a bit rough, so I decided to have some fun and just speed it up!
Be well
