Its been exactly 730 days since I was incommunicado.
My name is Leah Sharibu, oh! not Sharibu anymore following my forcible wedlock.
I had a dream I would one day become a lawyer; to fight for the rights of the oppressed
I had a dream that one day I would erase bigotry, the sons of each allegiance would hold hands to build a great nation.
I had a dream that one day down in the artic the wind of peace and tranquility will sweep every corner of the street to transform our nation into a radiant symphony of confederacy.
But now, I just sit and gaze
and watch my dreams burn in a blaze.
While am tightly impelled
of captive, maidens clutched.
Always taken to be used
by monsters in human form.
The world has probably forgotten about me.
My life is spinning dead
from microcism to macrocosm.
The contour of things are drifting.
People and event cripple us in clemency
and so, I have been crippled to malignancy.
With no hope of redemption.
But there is; Until I see my maker in exaltation.
