Taking Sides PORTADA.png

Another week and another Splinterlands challenge, this time the selected Battle Rule is: Taking Sides, which is simply a rule that consists of not being able to use NEUTRAL cards in battle, being able to use only the corresponding cards of the selected deck. One of the Battle Rules that I like the most and it doesn't really present a conflict for me when I have to fight under this rule. So without further ado, these are the battles are the Taking Sides Battle Rule:

Taking Sides SEPARADOR.png

This first battle is composed of cards from the DEATH deck, which is my favorite deck, being a strategy in which most of the cards are composed of cards of the Rank Attack type, because the second Battle Rule present in this battle, in addition to Taking Sides, is: Super Sneak, therefore in order to avoid a possible damage if I use Melee cards and my opponent uses any card with the "Thorns" ability, in this way I avoid extra damage, therefore the strategy was as follows: In first position and fulfilling the role of "tank card" is: RIFTWING, a card that does not have any attack stats, but it is a card that against Melee or Range Attack type cards is very effective thanks to its "Flying" and "Backfire" abilities, being these two abilities that complement each other very well. From the second to the penultimate position, they are composed of cards of the Rank Attack type, being the first of them: HAUNTED SPIDER, one of my oldest cards, whose ability "Poison", as long as it takes effect, is extremely helpful to be able to diminish the life of my opponent's cards little by little in each turn. In third position is a card that has become the companion of HAUNTED SPIDER, because these two cards are often used together, since both have a value of 3 mana and that card is: DARK FERRYMAN.

In fourth position is another of my oldest cards: TWISTED JESTER, a card that to this day I still use a lot in my battles, TWISTED JESTER is really a very useful card that has decent stats. In penultimate position is: OCTOPIDER, a card that I used because I had suspicions that my opponent would use Melee type cards, so his ability "Demoralize" would be extremely helpful in this battle, being that my suspicions in the end were correct, and also OCTOPIDER is a card that in terms of stats is quite powerful, both offensively and defensively. And in the last position is the only Melee card of this formation and it is precisely in this position to damage the Melee cards of my opponent thanks to his "Thorns" ability, being this strategy similar to the one used by my opponent, but in the end I had a greater advantage by using mostly Melee cards, so I was not very affected by the "Thorns" ability of my opponent.

In this second battle I made a totally different strategy from the first battle, mainly because the formation is composed of cards from the EARTH deck and because of this, I used one of my most classic strategies composed of cards of the Magic Attack type, being the following strategy: In first position is a card that is never missing in this type of formations and I'm talking about: FAILED SUMMONER, a very good card against Magic Attack type cards thanks to its ability "Magic Reflect"; although it can also be very useful against Melee type cards because it has a decent amount of life points. From the second to the last position, it is composed by an exclusive festival of Magic Attack type cards, being the first of them: REGAL PERYTON, a card that I like a lot, not only because it has good stats in general terms, but also because its mana cost is quite accurate according to what this card can offer in battle. In second position is: KHMER PRINCESS, the only card in this lineup that does not have any ability of its own, but that does not make it less important, because this is the classic card that should never be underestimated, because when you least think it can cause a lot of damage (especially if combined with the Obsidian summoner).

In fourth position is: QUEEN MYCELIA, a very good card, which in personal terms being my third legendary gold card, I always like to use and in terms of stats is a decent card even though its attack and speed are too poor. In penultimate position is another of my favorite cards of the EARTH deck and one of my favorite cards of the Magic Attack type and that card is: SPIRIT SHAMAN, a card that in addition to having the ability "Divine Shield", allowing you to receive a first attack and not take damage, also has one of my favorite skills: "Stun", excellent ability that when it takes effect is very likely to give you the victory in a battle. And in last position logically is: DJINN BILJKA, which is in this position to be able to take advantage of her "Camouflage" ability and in this way not be affected by enemy attacks.

Taking Sides SEPARADOR.png
