365 days have passed since your departure left me with an irremediable emptiness. Today I must confess that I cannot avoid the absence I feel. Sometimes I think you were too good, perhaps more than this world deserves. Humanity needs more people like you, people who are brave, hard-working and full of compassion. People who go out of their way to give their best to those they love and those they don't know. So today, on your birthday, I can't help but think how grateful I am to have had you as a mother.
I have remembered every detail of your life, your teachings, your wise and loving advice. That image of you, giving all of yourself for the welfare of others, is something I will always carry with me. Every day I face my challenges with your words in mind, your advice and your outlook on life. You will always be that beacon of light that guides my path and carries me forward, even in the darkest of times.
I will never forget the legacy you left behind. As a teacher, you left a profound mark on so many lives. You were more than just an educator, you were an inspiration, an example, a guide and a friend in many ways. Hundreds of young people remember you fondly, with a smile on their faces and tears in their eyes. You not only taught them, you formed them, you helped them to grow. You gave them light in moments of darkness and you took the time to get to know their stories, desires and dreams.
Han pasado 365 días desde que tu partida me dejara un vacío irremediable. Hoy debo confesar que no puedo evitar la ausencia que siento. A veces pienso que fuiste demasiado buena, quizás más de lo que este mundo merece. La humanidad necesita más seres como tú, personas valientes, trabajadoras y llenas de compasión. Personas que se desvivan por dar lo mejor de sí a quienes aman y a quienes no conocen. Por eso, hoy en tu cumpleaños, no puedo evitar pensar en lo agradecido que estoy por haberte tenido como madre.
He recordado cada detalle de tu vida, de tus enseñanzas, de tus sabios y amorosos consejos. Esa imagen tuya, dando todo de ti misma por el bienestar de los demás, es algo que siempre llevaré conmigo. Cada día enfrento mis desafíos con tus palabras en mente, tus consejos y tus formas de ver la vida. Siempre serás ese faro de luz que guía mi camino y que me lleva hacia delante, incluso en los momentos más oscuros.
Nunca olvidaré el legado que dejaste. Como profesora, dejaste una huella profunda en muchas vidas. Fuiste más que una simple educadora, fuiste inspiración, ejemplo, guía y amiga en muchos sentidos. Cientos de jóvenes te recuerdan con cariño, con una sonrisa en el rostro y con lágrimas en los ojos. Y es que tú no sólo les enseñaste, les formaste, les ayudaste a crecer. Les diste luz en momentos de oscuridad y te tomaste el tiempo para conocer sus historias, anhelos y sueños.

You, who raised three children, were not only exceptional as a mother, you were a warrior who faced life with fortitude and courage. You overcame challenges, rejected mediocrity, broke the mould and came to the fore as a courageous and independent woman. And always, in every role, you gave the best of yourself, with love, patience and altruism.
It is impossible not to remember your way of being, kind, noble, generous and always full of beauty. Your love for animals and sweets were two of your most essential characteristics, emblems of your love for simple but authentic things. Your inner beauty was such that it was reflected in your face, in your eyes and in your actions. You were unique, as few people in this world are.
Today, on your birthday, tears appear once again, however, they are not a sign of sadness, but of gratitude. Gratitude for having had you in my life, for having formed, guided and taught me, not only as a son, but as a human being. For the courage you showed in life, for the integrity that always characterised you and for the dedication you gave to every person who touched your life.
Tú, que criaste a tres hijos, no sólo fuiste excepcional como madre, fuiste una guerrera que enfrentó la vida con entereza y coraje. Superaste desafíos, rechazaste la mediocridad, rompiste esquemas y saliste a la luz como mujer valiente e independiente. Y siempre, en todos los roles, diste lo mejor de ti misma, con amor, con paciencia y con altruismo.
Es imposible no recordar tu forma de ser, amable, noble, generosa y siempre llena de belleza. Tu amor por los animales y los dulces, eran dos de tus características más esenciales, emblemas de tu amor por las cosas simples, pero auténticas. Tu belleza interior era tal, que se reflejaba en tu rostro, en tus ojos y en tus actos. Eras única, como pocas personas en este mundo lo son.
Hoy, en tu cumpleaños, las lágrimas aparecen una vez más, sin embargo, no son signo de tristeza, sino de gratitud. Gratitud por haberte tenido en mi vida, por haberme formado, guiado y enseñado, no sólo como hijo, sino como ser humano. Por la valentía que demostraste en vida, por la integridad que siempre te caracterizó y por la dedicación que entregaste a cada persona que tocó tu vida.

Life is not easy without you, but even though I miss you, I feel that you are part of me. And it is that feeling of closeness, love and unity that gives me the strength to go on. I know I can never be as good as you, but I will always try to be better every day, to strive, to fight for what is right, to give what I have, to be loving, to be brave and, above all, to help with kindness to those in need.
Today, on your birthday, I raise a prayer to heaven, wishing that wherever you are, you feel the love and gratitude that many of us have for you. It is not easy to walk without you, but here I am, trying to be faithful to your teachings, trying to keep your memory and your legacy alive in my heart. The world is different without you, but I am happy to think that someday, maybe, we will be back again.
La vida no es fácil sin ti, pero, aunque te extrañe, siento que eres parte de mí. Y es ese sentimiento de cercanía, de amor y de unidad, lo que me da la fuerza para seguir adelante. Sé que nunca podré ser tan buena como tú, pero siempre trataré de ser mejor cada día, de esforzarme, de luchar por lo correcto, de dar lo que tengo, de ser amoroso, de ser valiente y, sobre todo, de ayudar con bondad a aquellos que lo necesiten.
Hoy, en tu cumpleaños, elevo una oración al cielo, deseando que en donde quiera que estés, sientas el amor y la gratitud que muchos te tenemos. No es fácil caminar sin ti, pero aquí estoy, tratando de ser fiel a tus enseñanzas, tratando de mantener vivo tu recuerdo y tu legado en mi corazón. El mundo es diferente sin ti, pero me alegra pensar que algún día, tal vez, nos volver.
