Hello Splinterfam...
It is once again time to uncover the battle mage's secret for this week's challenge...
Let's try to leave no stone unturned as I unravel one of the many ways to claim victory when bows and arrows cannot be used in the heat of a battle.
Kindly spare a moment of your precious time and see what secret lies ahead...
A high HP first monster with Void ability will deal with both melee and magic. Give your tank a back up with a tank heal support. Using Thorns or Magic Reflect is also very useful in this rule set. Defend against either Magic or Melee attacks by using the right summoner and then use monsters' abilities to deal with the other attack type
You can skip monsters and summoners having Affliction. Life Leech is not impacted by this ruleset
Using monsters with Flying or Heal is the trick for this ruleset, but if you are unable to choose such monsters, use monsters that have high HP and high damage. Don't keep heal units up front. Shield has a very important role. Using Brighton Bloom as summoner can help in this ruleset. Keep monsters with Flying in last positions when Earthquake has done enough damage to both sides
Upon seeing the monsters taking the battlefield, what I initially thought was that the incoming battle wasn't going to be an easy win since the opponent used a most sought Immortalis. My monster's armor will prove worthless against the Shatter ability which it grants to its ally monsters.
The 1st Round started with an attack from the fastest monster in my team but you can clearly see that it did not do any damage at all since the enemy monsters are granted Void ability by their summoner. The fastest among the enemy monsters followed through with an attack to my Tank directly hitting its health and shattering its armor.
The exchange of damaging blows went on until all the able monsters in the field has taken its turn to attack.
Adelade Brightwing has faithfully done her duty in restoring or repairing my Tank's armor but it proves meaningless in front a monster granted by Shatter ability.
The 1st Round ended with both my Tank and the opponent's barely clinging to life. One shot from each side or an Earthquake ruleset taking effect will surely kill it without a doubt.
Let us proceed to Round 2.
This round started by an Earthquake damaging the armors/health of all non-flying monsters. This results in my **Tank dying off since her armor is shattered earlier by an attack from Queen Mycelia of the opposing team. Adelade Brightwing once again did her duty and revive my Tank with full armor and 1unit health point which then immediately died again since it was attacked by a magic user monster from an enemy team. This circumstance wasted Adelade's effort...๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ
I now have only 5monsters left
It was also in the middle phase of this round that the enemy monster's Tank was killed and removed from the battlefield. This makes it even for both sides having only 5monsters left. The power gap between the two teams only began to grow as more monsters leave the battlefield.
The 3rd and 4th Round was no different from the round that precedes it. Non-flying monsters were dying off due to the shaking grounds as an effect of the Earthquake ruleset. In Round 4 the two team's power gap is more visible than ever. My team's combined health points is almost twice that of the opponent and the attacking power is way more powerful.
Even after Djinn Renova is killed due to shaking grounds my team still has a decisive advantage.
The battle lasted for a total of 7 Rounds. It lasted long only because of the ability Void granted by the summoner Immortalis. The battle went on as my team slowly chips away all their is for the opponent to hope for.
My choosing of **Void Dragon this time was a failure or useless since it did not contribute anything in my victory. I played safe in choosing it because it has a Flying ability as a counter to Earthquake ruleset. Should I have chosen Magi of Chaos I would have seized victory far more easier and earlier although it would have died due to the Earthquake. In a sense I and my opponent have both chosen a monster that did not contribute anything at all. The only saving grace from my line-up was I had chosen a more powerful monsters with an additional ability like Thorns, Blast, and Revive. Repair was also useless in front of Immortalis so I cannot give it any credit.
That's all for my entry regarding this week's challenge.
Hope you liked my entry.
Thank you for reading...
