The didactic sequence in our educational discourses
A speech is, according to the RAE
A speech is, according to the RAE, a reasoning or exposition of a certain length on some subject, which is read or pronounced in public.
In this sense, when we make an exposition or reasoning with a pedagogical purpose, it is necessary that it has a coherent internal structure, so that the message can be transmitted in an effective, clear and precise way, allowing learning to take place in an orderly and articulated manner. This is where didactic sequences become a fundamental element.
Therefore, we call didactic sequences:
To the set of organized, systematized and hierarchical activities, which make possible the development of concepts, skills and attitudes. They are integrated by a series of activities of progressive complexity, which are presented in an orderly, structured and articulated manner.
This set of activities, are the support that we must use to achieve that the defined objective is carried to a successful conclusion.
We must consider the fact that on many occasions we organize strategies that are not linked to the subject matter or simply do not contribute to the proposed goals, being necessary to clearly determine what content we are going to address so that when choosing the activities, they are related and have coherence with what we want to teach, so that they are linked to each other, thus creating an orderly succession in which each topic is related to one or more activities that we will develop or have developed.
Remember, an educational discourse must rely on didactic sequences not only to entertain or amuse, but above all to educate and generate learning spaces, this is what truly enriches our intervention and provides a transcendent value to our message.
