Tilda killed Gerard and revealed that Nemesis, a rogue digital hive mind of Zenith consciousnesses, destroyed Sirius and was targeting Earth. When Aloy refused to flee into deep space, Tilda merged with Specter Prime to force her. I destroyed the construct along with Tilda, then Sylens prepared for his solo departure from Earth.

When Beta was trying to tell everything Aloy needed to know about the Zeniths, suddenly Gerald came out of nowhere and it looked like he was getting heavy hit. He basically appeared from a huge blast.

Then there came Tilda and took her last hit on Gerald and Gerald died right away. So, Tilda did as she promised as she promised she'd take care of Gerald.

Stepping forward, she remarked that Aloy had certainly been busy. Realizing Tilda had been withholding information all along, Aloy demanded to know what was really going on. Tilda confessed that the looming threat was Nemesis, a failed Far Zenith project from back on Sirius.

She explained that Nemesis was an abandoned experiment that became a massive, festering repository of their darkest memories, emotions, and megalomaniacal prejudices.

Aloy pieced together that Nemesis was what destroyed their colony. Tilda noted they did not realize the entity had gained full sentience until it broke containment. Packed with their override codes, security specs, and network protocols, Nemesis hijacked everything in an instant before taking control of the printing facilities to construct an army of machines.

Beta realized that Nemesis was the true source of the extinction signal that woke HADES, not the Zeniths.

Tilda agreed, stating they had to take GAIA and flee to a distant world. Aloy refused to run, pointing out that Tilda had no shield left to force her. Tilda responded by summoning a Spectre Prime to act as a mechanical host for her body, to force us into the final confrontation.

I immediately began attacking the Spectre Prime with fire and acid arrows, dodging its heavy strikes. It was ironic watching Tilda try to kill Aloy after insisting she wanted her alive, but she clearly decided Aloy was not needed intact.

The mechanical design of the Spectre Prime construct was strikingly similar to the final boss from The House of the Dead 2. As I depleted over half of her health bar, I ran completely out of materials to craft more acid arrows.

I switched to my boltblaster launcher, which laid down impressive damage. Taking advantage of moments when Tilda was stunned to reload, I kept up the pressure until the Spectre Prime construct was completely destroyed.

With Tilda defeated, Aloy made my way back to the control center where Sylens was waiting. A cinematic played showing Sylens entering the room, completely unphased by Tilda's obsession.

He revealed that everything he had done, from probing HADES to arming the rebels, was calculated to bypass Zenith shielding and reach this precise moment. Sylens announced his intention to board the Zenith shuttle and leave Earth to explore infinite knowledge across the stars.

Unlike Tilda, he offered Aloy a polite invitation to join him, claiming even Elisabeth Sobek would choose to leave facing a threat as absolute as Nemesis.

Aloy refused to abandon the planet, urging him to stay and fight instead. As her companions arrived at the control center, Aloy said her goodbyes to Sylens as he prepared to depart.

The next post will be coming soon. Screenshots are my take from the game and I took the game logo that I used on the thumbnail picture from online.
