The best thing out of STINC was this Blockchain, which is 4 years behind but still years ahead of where it came from. I implore people to see this project as a decentralized DAPP and ID system, runing on essentially a virtual machine spread across witnesses and nodes. This keeps us from wasting efforts in competing with old systems that need to be replaced, and focused on the task of replacing them with better results. Before @cryptographic came along, I was losing hope in the process... but now, I'm pretty certain the HIVE will work out and PLENTY of US are prepared This time.
