Yes. It is true. We had to look again after many years for ourselves. Now we know.
The photo above is from: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horseshoe_Southern_Indiana
Since we were halfway there from where we live. We decided to take another look. The below
photos and information will let you know a little of what we had seen.
Walking in from the garage.
Looking out as we walked into the casino.
Continuing the walk into the gaming area.
The walkway over the road leading to the casino.
Escalator to the gaming area.
One thing Pat and I agreed on. The place was way overbuilt for the traffic that they could
reasonably expect to have over a measurement of time. To expensive for upkeep and additions.
Just my take on the property.
As soon as I saw this. I knew it was time to leave. Mostly a wasted trip. We did find out what
we wanted to know. What it is like now.
I show you this photo below. If you are a "video poker" player. Walk out immediately.
No point in staying. You will certainly lose your money.
If in "Jacks or Better" the "Full House and Flush" payoff is not at least 8 and 5. Forget it.
It should be 9 and 6. I have heard of 10 and 7. It was time to leave.
Now to the bad side of humanity. As we were leaving. I heard a man yelling and could
partially see him about 30 feet away.
He was screaming at a woman. I could hear some nasty words.
She wasn't being aggressive toward him at all.
He didn't hit her. He did something worse. He spit in her face.
Yes, you read that right. I don't know what the problem was. But after that.
He walked away screaming and cursing while she was wiping her face dry.
And as he was walking away. He tried to apologize to some bystanders.
So, Friends. Before you ever think about a casino. Consider what could happen.
Casinos is OK for some people maybe. But for most people.
I recommend staying away. Unless you don't mind losing your money.
Sorry Friends. I can only report what I do and what I see.
I will have a better post offering for you tomorrow. Try to forget the horrible
scene that I witnessed.
