I live within walking distance of Shamrock Park. So I thought I would take a short tour of the park and show you a little of what I see. That is what we all should do. If we will just show what we see and do on Steemit. Steemit will surely grow. What you see and do is interesting to others of our world.

While I was walking to the park. I wanted to show you this little "mango tree" that a neighbor has growing. It should have some good fruit on it as it grows. Maybe not this year. It might take another year for it to bear fruit.
Here are some yellow flowers that are not yet quite in full bloom.
I will try to watch to see if they will bloom even more. It has been warm here. So they will continue to grow.
As I walk along to the park. Here is a typical Florida house built after the year 2000. A house like the one in the photo is outside of the gated communities. The gated communities have houses that are unique to each community.
This house is the old style house that was being built in the 1960's or earlier. You will notice the the roof is lower to the ground than most houses. It is because of the hurricane threat. Now the houses that are built new can withstand the hurricanes. They all have to meet code that survives a category 3-5 hurricane strength. No one will buy one if it is less than that new.
The year that the park was being built and opened to the public is shown on the bridge sides at the entrance.
So you can see in year terms. The park is not very old since opened to the public. I really like this park.
You will see signs throughout the park that tells of warnings and also some information.
Such as the closing time of the day.
That is to keep anyone from getting locked in with their vehicle at closing time.
Someone built and placed a birdhouse of sorts in the park. For what species of birds I don't know.
Maybe it was put there for any small bird that wanted to use it as a nesting location.
Notice the way it was put up. That is because of strong winds that could blow it down.
It is time to post this "walk to the park" on Steemit for you. I will add more about Shamrock Park tomorrow or later.
Shamrock Park is a very nice place to go to see what the Florida landscape looked like before all the construction and commerce arrived here. It was a pleasant place to be at then. Nature untouched by human interference.
