This week I've entered a lot of contests and almost didn't make it to any of them in time. Since there are only two days left until the end of Movies & TV Shows' call for entries for their latest contest, I decided it was time to make my entry. This time they're asking us to talk about our favorite actor and actress, which is a pretty difficult approach.

Started because maybe I have so many on that list, so many that I couldn't pick just one or decide who I like the most or least. But, even though Lindsay Lohan or Will Smith, are among my favorite actors, it's not like I have a collection of movies over the years as perhaps I do of the actors I've chosen. Hollywood is full of good actors (well, some more than others), the truth is that I have chosen them based on the number of movies I have seen of them.

Esta semana he participado en muchos concursos y casi no llego a tiempo a ninguno de ellos. Cómo ya solo faltan dos días para que termine la convocatoria de Movies & TV Shows para su último concurso, decidí que ya era hora de hacer mi entrada. En esta oportunidad nos piden hablar de nuestro actor y actriz favoritos, lo cual es un planteamiento bastante difícil.

Comenzado porque quizás tengo a muchos en esa lista, tantos que no podría elegir a uno solo o decidir quién me gusta más o menos. Pero, aunque Lindsay Lohan o Will Smith, son de mis actores favoritos, no es que tenga una colección de películas a lo largo de los años como quizás si tengo de los actores que he elegido. Hollywood está repleto de buenos actores (bueno, unos más que otros), lo cierto es que los he escogido con base en la cantidad de películas que he visto de ellos.

In some cases, more than 5 movies, I've almost grown up with them. To begin with, I want to say that this is not about fanaticism, it is not that I follow them on social networks or that I know their lives to the letter, but rather, that I have fully enjoyed their film careers. Sandra Bullock, for example, comes to mind with that movie with Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes called The Demolition Man, an action movie in the best style of the nineties.

This story was about two condemned men in a cryogenic prison. Sandra Bullock played a spectacular character, which I remember because she had to have sex telepathically; both men were reanimated 36 years later to start a real battle and of course, the actress is our main heroine. That passionate kiss, truly was quite expected by me.

Then came "Miss Congeniality" my favorite Sandra movie. Gracie Hart won my heart, first of all, because that girl is really struggling to earn respect in a male-dominated world. She's an FBI agent, she has to infiltrate the ranks of the thing most opposite to her: a national beauty pageant. This involves an incredible transformation: manners, modeling, posture and becoming a little more feminine.

Our heroine must infiltrate this contest, for a mission that will endanger the Miss United States pageant. Two sequels had this franchise, for me both deserve a special place in my heart, both are good. Although with "Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous" the reviews were not exactly good. In fact, they trashed it, I still loved it.

I'm probably skipping a lot of good movies, but those are the ones I remember. For example, "Premonition" was a real blast, here she played Linda Hanson, a woman with post-traumatic stress, who lives over and over again the accident in which her husband dies. However, it was another flop with the critics; the truth is that the film was a bit confusing, but I liked it and I think that's what counts.

The Proposal came later. If you didn't see this movie a million times on TNT, you never had cable TV. This is a true classic and one of the few romantic comedies I can remember from recent years. Margaret Tate is the prototypical cursed boss we've all been touched by at one time or another. This is the character played by Sandra, while Andrew Paxton played by Ryan Reynolds, was the secretary to this evil woman.

Things go wrong and Margaret is deported to Canada, to avoid this she pretends to be engaged to her secretary, who as a revenge, takes her to meet his family and a lot of hilarious situations start to happen. I highly doubt anyone hasn't seen it, but this movie is not to be missed and besides, I love Ryan!

The years would pass and I remember very well that she won an Oscar for Best Actress for "The Blind Side" and the Worst Actress award at the Razzie Awards within a day of each other. But, destiny had another movie in store for her, this time with another Hollywood heartthrob: George Clooney. "Gravity", Alfonso Cuaron's first film to win the Oscar, a very entertaining film in the best space style. I almost don't remember this one, I only have in my mind George in a space suit.

Ocean's 8, is undoubtedly the movie I watched the most times in pandemic. Millions of times, it helped me to have an exclusive subscription service that made my life easy in those dark days. Following the "Ocean's" saga, this time it was the turn of a story with women, and boy, did they stand out! Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Awkwafina and Helena Bonham Carter completed an iconic group of women who don't follow fashion trends, they create them.

Debbie Ocean, is released 5 years after being caught selling illegal art. The man she had fallen in love with betrayed her, but she's been locked up planning her next big heist: stealing the jewelry on display at the Metropolitan Museum in New York at the Met Gala. Anna Wintour, Zac Posen, Kim Kardashian, Gigi Hadid, Heidi Klum, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and tennis players Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams have amazing cameos in this film. Definitely, yes, Sandra is a diamond and one of my favorite actresses (I didn't forget Birdbox).

En algunos casos, más de 5 películas, casi he crecido con ellos. Para empezar, quiero decir que no sé trata de fanatismo, no es que los sigo en redes sociales o me sé al pie de la letra sus vidas, sino más bien, que he disfrutado plenamente de sus carreras cinematográficas. Sandra Bullock, por ejemplo, me viene a la mente con aquella película con Sylvester Stallone y Wesley Snipes llamada El Demoledor, una película de acción al mejor estilo de los años noventa.

Esta historia trataba de dos hombres condenados en una prisión criogénica. Sandra Bullock hacía un personaje espectacular, que recuerdo porque tenía que tener relaciones sexuales telepáticamente; ambos hombres eran reanimados 36 años después para comenzar una verdadera batalla y por supuesto, la actriz es nuestra heroína principal. Ese beso apasionado, verdaderamente fue bastante esperado por mi parte.

Luego llegaría "Miss Congeniality" mi película favorita de Sandra. Gracie Hart se ganó mi corazón, en primer lugar, porque esa chica verdaderamente es estaba luchando por ganarse el respeto en un mundo dominado por hombres. Está agente del FBI, tiene que infiltrarse en las filas de la cosa más opuesta a ella: un concurso de belleza nacional. Esto supone una transformación increíble: modales, modelaje, postura y volverse un poco más femenina.

Nuestra heroína debe infiltrarse en este concurso, para una misión que pondrá en peligro al concurso Miss United States. Dos secuelas tuvo esta franquicia, para mí ambas merecen un lugar especial en mi corazón, ambas son buenas. Aunque con "Miss Congeniality 2: Armada y Fabulosa" la crítica no fue precisamente buena. De hecho, la destrozaron, igual la amé.

Seguramente me esté saltando muchas buenas películas, pero esas son las que recuerdo. Por ejemplo, "Premonition" era una verdadera pasada, aquí interpretó a Linda Hanson, una mujer con ¿estrés postraumático?, que vive una y otra vez el accidente en el cual su marido muere. Sin embargo, fue otro fracaso con la crítica; la verdad es que la película era algo confusa, pero a mí me gustó y creo que eso es lo que cuenta.

The Proposal vino después. Si no viste un millón de veces esta película en TNT, nunca tuviste televisión por cable. Este es un verdadero clásico y una de las pocas comedias románticas que recuerdo de los últimos años. Margaret Tate es el prototipo de jefa maldita que a todos nos ha tocado alguna vez. Este es el personaje que interpretaba Sandra, mientras que Andrew Paxton interpretado por Ryan Reynolds, era el secretario de esta malvada mujer.

Las cosas salen mal y Margaret es deportada a Canadá, para evitarlo finge estar comprometida con su secretario, esté a modo de venganza, la lleva a conocer a su familia y un montón de situaciones hilarantes comienzan a ocurrir. Dudo mucho que alguien no la haya visto, pero esta película no tiene perdida y además, ¡Amo a Ryan!

Los años pasarían y recuerdo muy bien que ganó un premio Óscar a mejor actriz por "The Blind Side" y el premio a peor actriz en los Premios Razzie con solo un día de diferencia. Pero, el destino le tenía preparado otra película está vez con otro galán de Hollywood: George Clooney. "Gravity" la primera película de Alfonso Cuarón en ganar el Óscar, una cinta muy entretenida al mejor estilo espacial. Esta casi no la recuerdo, solo tengo en mi mente a George en traje espacial.

Ocean's 8, es sin duda la película que más veces visualicé en pandemia. Millones de veces, me ayudó tener un servicio de suscripción exclusivo que me hizo la vida fácil en aquellos oscuros días. Siguiendo la saga "Ocean" está vez tocaba el turno de hacer una historia con mujeres. ¡Y vaya que se destacaron! El elenco estuvo de primera Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Awkwafina y Helena Bonham Carter completaban un icónico grupo de mujeres que no siguen tendencias en la moda, si no que las crean.

Favorite actresses, I have many more than favorite actors, in fact, I follow movie heartthrobs just in case they are good looking or their characters make an impact on me in a movie. This position was hotly contested, Leo DiCaprio, Zack Efron, Kevin Costner, David Hasselhoff and Arnold Schwarzenegger were all considered on my list. However, I have opted for a gorgeous Latino. Alfonso Herrera, the same guy who started doing youth soap operas like "Clase 406" or "Rebelde".

I love this man, because despite his heterosexuality, he is not a toxic macho. He has accepted these roles that nobody wants, different from each other and it really pisses me off that he has not yet conquered Hollywood completely, as his compatriot Eiza Gonzalez did. "Venezzia" for example is a very beautiful Venezuelan film, which she did with Rudy Rodriguez, a great Venezuelan actress. I remember it because her presence in the country filming this movie caused a sensation in the towns where they filmed.

But, undoubtedly, if we talk about a great character, I think Hernando de la Fuente from Sense8 takes all the laurels in the career of this actor. Together with Miguel Ángel Silvestre, he made an unforgettable duo and I think this series marked a turning point in his career. Although it was canceled, the series holds a special place in my heart as one of Netflix's best products.

"The Dance of 41" would be another film and one of the most recent films I watched. Framed in a real historical fact, Alfonso plays a great character embodying Ignacio de la Torre y Mier, who was the son-in-law of Mexican President Porfirio Diaz. A moving story that keeps you gripped until the climax, a true drama worth watching. Without a doubt, Alfonso has become one of my favorites.

His last participation in a series, we could enjoy it on Netflix with the series "Ozark" in the fourth season of the series. Although I have very few movies or series of Alfonso, I didn't want to leave out any Latino. My mind fails a lot, but these two options will not leave me wrong, they are different from each other, but they have plenty of talent. These are my two favorites, what are yours?

Ha aceptado estos papeles que nadie quiere, diferentes entre sí y me jode mucho que aún no haya conquistado Hollywood del todo, como si lo hizo su compatriota Eiza González. "Venezzia" por ejemplo es una película venezolana hermosísima, que hizo junto a Rudy Rodríguez, una gran actriz venezolana. Lo recuerdo porque su presencia en el país grabando está película causó sensación en los pueblos en los cuales grabaron.

Pero, sin duda, si hablamos de un gran personaje, creo que Hernando de la Fuente de Sense8 se lleva todos los laureles en la carrera de este actor. Junto a Miguel Ángel Silvestre, hizo una dupla inolvidable y creo que esta serie marcó un punto de inflexión en su carrera. Aunque fue cancelada, la serie guarda un lugar especial en mi corazón como uno de los mejores productos de Netflix.

"El baile de los 41" sería otra de las películas y una de las más recientes que vi. Enmarcada en un hecho histórico real, Alfonso hace un gran personaje encarnando a Ignacio de la Torre y Mier, quien fuera yerno del presidente mexicano Porfirio Díaz. Una historia conmovedora que te mantiene atrapado hasta el clímax, un verdadero dramón que vale la pena ver. Sin duda, Alfonso se ha convertido en uno de mis favoritos.

Su última participación en una serie, la pudimos disfrutar en Netflix con la serie "Ozark" en la cuarta temporada de la misma. Aunque de Alfonso tengo muy pocas películas o series, no quería dejar por fuera a algún latino. Mi mente falla mucho, pero estas dos opciones no me dejarán mal parado, son diferentes entre sí, pero les sobra talento. Estos son mis dos favoritos, ¿Cuáles son los tuyos?
