We urgently need to find new solutions. How can we transform CO2 (Carbon Monoxide) to use it as a raw material with which to manufacture the necessary products for the human population?

CO2 (Carbon Monoxide) emissions from sources such as coal and oil have reached record levels in 2017, parallel to this global warming, the world population has exceeded 7,500 million people, although 800 million do not have access to food of first necessity according to the WHO (World Health Organization). The Finnish Juha-Pekka Pitkänen has created proteins from air and electricity, its goal is to reduce world hunger by alleviating the harmful effects of CO2 (Carbon monoxide).

There are solutions for the problems of CO2 (Carbon Monoxide) and hunger in the world we can contribute trying to produce food from CO2 (Carbon Monoxide) and electricity. Some will seem like magic, but in reality the process is quite simple.

What we do is to use a micro organism more or less similar to yeast or lactobasins, but instead of providing sugar we give it electricity and CO2 (Carbon Monoxide) inside a bioreactor, the electricity divides the water into nitrogen and oxygen, Hydrogen is the energy source used by the cells to fix CO2 (Carbon Monoxide), then we add other chemical elements around 18 that will be the blocks with which a kind of unicellular protein will be produced. In this way we can obtain the unicellular mass that contains around 50% protein. This biomass can be used as a weight for animals or also as food for humans, we could create a food material similar to tofu, similar to minced meat or chicken fillets.

Some scientists and I have tried it, right now in so little quantity it does not have any specific flavor, it looks a bit like wheat flour has a very neutral flavor, we are working within a general project called "NeoCarbon" in which we have studied the capture of CO2 (Carbon Monoxide) and we are using this capture with renewable energies to transform CO2 (Carbon Monoxide) in different materials to proteins.

In the mobile synthesis unit, here you can create chemical products from CO2 (Carbon Monoxide) of air and electricity from renewable sources. We obtain a component in the form of wax and another in the form of liquid fuel, from the liquid fraction we can obtain transport fuel for both gasoline and diesel.

50% of the habitable land surface is used for cultivation and only 35% is forest, we can not spend much that 50%, so a new advance will have to make efficient use of the land, of course we are trying to go more there. In one year we will be working on a scale of one cubic meter, in five years we would enter the production phase and we calculate that we could produce around one thousand tons of protein annually.
