At the end of the day, I found the first snake of the summer crawling in the middle of my path. So I boldly jumped up and quickly took pictures before it crawled away and hid. This one is a European viper and is very poisonous. I recommend that you don't approach it unless you've practiced keeping your nerves cold and being careful.
