I was hoping for some autumn foliage pictures but I didn't have much luck. First of all there are not many deciduous trees in this town and the few that are supposed to drop their leaves, are still partly green in the middle of the winter. So much for the autumn vibe that I was looking for!
But I shouldn't be cranky. There is plenty of greenery to photograph and an amazing brilliant sun to play with!
Plus that there is never shortage of flowers. Lots of them in every season, in every corner. In flower beds, on steep hills, even in the rocks! For example, I took all those photos as I was climbing the stone staircase to the castle. I told you all about it in this post, yesterday. Probably you can't tell from the pictures but they are literally growing inside the rocks. Just amazing!
And that sun, what can I say. The photographer's best friend :)
So it was first the sun, second the greenery and third the historical buildings of the town that led my compositions. And of course the elevated point of view, both to the town and my favourite beach. The swimmers are now very few, the most determined ones. Although the weather still allows winter swimming even to people that wouldn't consider themselves winter swimmers at all :)
I walk on those streets every day but they look so different from up here. And the people are so tiny :) I wonder if that's how the birds look at us. Probably a bit different but it should be close enough!
The camera that I used is a Canon EOS 850D with an EF-S 18-135mm lens attached. I edited the photographs in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic .
All the pictures and the words are mine.
