The old town of Rhodes has 11 gates and each one of them is the entrance to a medieval fairy tale!

It has been quite some time since the last time I visited it but with all the travel plans on hold, I open old folders and re-edit my favorite shots!

I may exaggerate a bit with this trip since this is the third post about it and there are more to come but I have so many pictures that I want to share with you and making a post with more than 100 shots doesn't sound very practical!

The gate D'Amboise (the 5 pictures above) is probably the most impressive one and my personal favorite. The impressive thing about the castle of Rhodes is that it is practically as it was 500 years ago. No addition works or alterations has been made to the walls providing today a straightforward ticket to the past!

If you like historical places you'll find a small paradise there but even if you have no interest about history at all it is still an amazing place to wander and enjoy!

And a few shots of the beach just to remind you that Rhodes apart from the medieval old town is also a Greek island with beautiful beaches ans amazing crystal clear waters. But more about that on another post :)
