Today I'll start with cats but even if you don't like them keep scrolling, there is more to it!
This beautiful white fellow is one of the stray cats that live in the streets of our village. We all take care of them (even those that are not really animal lovers, recognise their utility as rats repellent) but each one of them is connected a bit more with a person than with the others. This one's favourite human is our next door neighbour so we get a lot of visits too!
I took the shot a few weeks ago, spontaneously as I was passing by and even from the camera's screen I was impressed by the result. It is a bit overexposed but it suits it nicely, pointing out the wonderful blue eyes of the cat. I believe that it is a solid example of what we call high key photography. Which, by the way is the theme of the Photo Quest for this week, hosted by the 
I wouldn't want though for this lovely feline to feel lonely so I brought in some company too! They all have a rather cautious look because our dog was next to me while I was taking the pictures :)
You should know by now that I like to feed you with a lot of pictures in each post but I didn't had any more unpublished cats so I figured to share some pictures of my yesterday's walk that didn't fit in my last post. Nature is awakening slowly but steady and the walks in the nature are gradually filling with scents and colours!
All the pictures are taken with a 100mm macro lens which is obviously excellent for macro shots but I also love it for landscapes. It has a compressed perspective that partly alters the scenery but in a very interesting way. For example in the picture below the white excavated mountain (it is a plaster mine) is miles away from the village but I love this deceiving effect :)
