The weekend is here, the summer is gone but the weather is still good and our paranoid society is on the verge of wold war III.

If you could do anything this weekend, what would you do and why?

My answer is a rather obvious one. Get on a boat to take me to a small heavenly island and spend my days swimming and sunbathing like there is no tomorrow (which by the way, might not be far from the truth).
Elafonissos seems to be the perfect place for that. Very small island, totally mesmerising scenery and very close to the place I am right now!
With not one but two major wars happening, right now, in my wider neighbourhood (I live 800 miles, more or less, away from both embattled zones) what choices do I have?
Loose my sleep, overwhelmed by feelings of grief, anger and disgust about the human race, is closer to my disposition.
But I would prefer to be able to silent my mind and just enjoy what I have, as long as I have it!
I could add a couple of dinners by the sea and staring at the clouds to complete the picture.
Is it good enough for you?
I took those pictures when I was working as a travel photographer for a Greek magazine, from 2009 till 2013. The location is a tiny island very close to the southeast end of the Peloponnese region.
