En Fosac, todas las mañanas tenemos una reunión de apertura en la que hablamos de los pendientes del día. Hace algunos días, muy temprano por la mañana, nos dimos cuenta que Killa, Milo, Pantera y Dali también hacen su reunión de apertura. Se juntan a la hora del desayuno y aprovechan para descansar esperando la salida del sol antes que cada uno tome un rumbo diferente para su día.
Son perritos de la zona que llegan a nosotros en busca de refugio y alimento. Hace algunos años decidimos cuidar de ellos y ahora forman parte de nuestro equipo en el área de seguridad por las noches y por el día se dedican a repartir alegría a todos nosotros.
Los fines de mes, nos encargamos de bañarlos. Ya se imaginarán lo difícil que es tratar de juntarlos a todos a la hora del baño. Varios de ellos suelen ausentarse durante todo el día y solo vienen a comer o a pernoctar. Estamos implementando un plan para construirles una casa a cada uno y así puedan llegar a dormir todas las noches siempre a un lugar seguro.
Finalmente, me gustaría contarles sobre Killari, quien tiene un nombre derivado de la palabra ‘Killa’ que en Quechua significa ‘Luna’, es la engreída de la casa. Ella fue la primera en llegar y le hemos agarrado tanto cariño que empezó a traer más amigos a casa. Siempre es importante hacer una pausa en lo agotado de los días para enfocarnos y disfrutar de lo realmente importante en la vida.
At Fosac, every morning we have an opening meeting in which we talk about the pending issues of the day. A few days ago, very early in the morning, we noticed that Killa, Milo, Pantera and Dali are also having their opening meeting. They meet at breakfast time and take the opportunity to rest waiting for the sunrise before each one takes a different course for their day.
They are puppies from the area that come to us in search of shelter and food. A few years ago we decided to take care of them and now they are part of our team in the security area at night and during the day they are dedicated to spreading joy to all of us.
At the end of the month, we take care of bathing them. You can imagine how difficult it is to try to get them all together at bath time. Several of them are usually absent throughout the day and only come to eat or spend the night. We are implementing a plan to build a house for each of them so that they can always sleep in a safe place every night.
Finally, I would like to tell you about Killari, who has a name derived from the word 'Killa' which in Quechua means 'Moon', she is the smug of the house. She was the first to arrive and we have grown so fond of her that she began to bring more friends home. It is always important to take a break from the exhaustion of days to focus and enjoy what is really important in life.
