Hello Steemians, Hello Hong Kong!!
Vegetarian foods in Hong Kong are common with the religions of Buddhism, and the government promotes the veggie concepts sometimes over the popular media to spread the idea of it.
Today sharing is one of my very favorites "unlike-veggie" restaurant. If you haven't being told, you won't notice they're the veggie foods.
Very green and calm environment for dinner in a way that fusion decoration. It's seldom to see in Hong Kong.
The menu with the big logo displayed and providing both Chinese and English. Very professional.!
Rice and noodles are the main course for Chinese people and so today I ordered couple of them. Very filling!!
I arrived during a early dinner time, it's easy to grab a table. After ordering quickly, the first to serve is the soup of the day. I don't know much about the different between the western one and the Hong Kong one, but with this Chinese style soup to start is totally a distinction.!
The soups are made with beans and some other mushrooms types of ingredients, it's a great start!
Fried noodles with black truffles is the first time I tried, we recently always use black truffles in our dishes to upgrade the feeling and the flavour of it. I personally think the idea is good but it's not really working "to upgrade" a dish, LOL. They use the thin noodles to fry, to mix with some carrots, bean sprout. Unexpecting it tastes really like the original one, very flavorful!
One of my favorite is this shredded pork with salted vegetable vermicelli. So the "shredded pork" is something pretending, Every time I have it, I can't taste the flavour of the pork and less oily(from pork). Traditionally, to fry the vermicelli requested loads of oils but this one is not the greasy, well done!
I don't know why every time I see potato with satay, I will mouthwatering and so, even though we ordered 2 mains but, I insist to have this one still.
This braised sliced bean curd, potato and eggplant in satay sauce is really delightful. Soft like mashed potato mix with the tender eggplant and less salty satay sauce, another yummy choice if you like satay!
