I was walking across the gigantic, deserted street of New York. I was going home after a long day of exercises. Animals were still asleep and only the moonlight was casting its dim light over a blue wasteland of steel and asphalt.
My training was over. At 21, I was the youngest and most promising student of the Acrobatic Academy of New York City. I was so hungry and tired that I was unaware of the blue tentacles that silently pulled me under the ground.
There was no time to recognize the danger. The giant tentacles were dismembering those humans without any compassion. While the other students were being torn apart by the blue fleshy cables, I tried to run away. A tentacle wrapped around my waist and I was lifted up and carried into a different dimension.
The day Jackson and I met For a moment I thought that I was going to be eaten by the monster. But I realized that even though the smell of the bubbly blue flesh was disgusting, I was still alive and the movement was not painful. I was actually a few meters out of the ground.
I could only squint because of the intense light. To my surprise, I was in the middle of a lush, tropical jungle. I could hear the rattling of leaf-made vegetation against the wind and the chirping of small, green birds.
I was completely positive that I was in Africa.
I felt a little bit disappointed. I always thought that the aliens would not be that accurate with the drawing of the promised lands they would take me to. A few months ago, I questioned the accuracy of the map of Europe my parents had given me.
But I had to admit that it was beautiful. The land was absolutely colorful. The jungle plants were quite unique and colorful. It was the end of the winter in the northern hemisphere, and I was excited about walking through the rainy streets of New York with the summer rain and temperatures.
I was incredibly excited about eating my first ripe banana. I took a huge hungry step in the jungle. Then I stopped abruptly because of the great danger. I was standing in front of a great, black mouth covered with sharp teeth. There was probably a small insect trapped in the mouth.
"Urghh… I shall pass here," I said. "Nice to meet you."
Then I continued my way. I noticed that with every step I took, the waiting maw was closer to me. Then the sharp teeth closed the gap and gnawed toward my face. I stumbled and fell over a tree root. The jaws were closing in on my belly. I was going to be swallowed whole.
I thought quickly. If I ran, it would be torn apart. If I fell in front of them, I would be torn apart. I had to jump. I stood up and jumped. I felt the hot breath of the maw blast toward me. I felt the teeth tearing apart my clothes. I move aside and grabbed the branch of the tree.
I went up with the branch. The jaws squashed the roots under the force of their massive strength. I pulled the branch with all my strength to break up and make it possible to climb out of the pit. The branch fell after a few minutes of hard work. The jaws jumped out from the pit and began to howl and scream. I closed my ears because of the deafening noise.
The teeth were so sharp that a limb fell down. A piece of human flesh was under the teeth because of the pressure I applied to the branch. I knew that I had to find a way to leave the pit before I was fed to the monster again. I do not think the demons of hell will be as scary as this.
I decided to try every way out of the pit. I climbed down. I tried to jump down but there were so many sharp teeth waiting for me that I lost my right arm. The pain caused the corners of my eyes to well up with tears. I had to get out of this pit.
I assumed that there must be vines hanging down from the top. I dug under the mouth. A few minutes later I found a tendril. I pulled up on it.
I was not too surprised when it broke. Then I tried to dig deeper into the pit. I kept digging and digging. The pressure was enormous because of the size of the pit.
The will of the monster was stronger.
I looked up to see if there were some vines to grab. I saw an ant walking among the rotting human remains at the bottom of the pit. As it was walking, it carried a small piece of flesh in its jaw.
I looked up again and saw some vines. I grabbed them. Two vines broke. Then I had an idea.
I pulled the vines down until they touched the elephant sized mouth. I then broke them so that I could climb out of the pit. The motion was an incredible effort and I kept going until I was out by breaking more and more roots.
A few minutes later I was standing on the ground. I looked into the pit. I saw that there were two small paths leading out of the pit. By that time the spider man was coming toward me.
"Where do I go?" I asked. "Which way should I go? Which way led to a path that was not a path of death?!"
I heard a rustling voice answer "This one has to be the right way."
I looked into the pit and saw the spider man with a lit torch.
I saw that he was surrounded by bugs of all kinds. It was a sort of small army of soldiers with spider heads and metallic skeletons. They were carrying ropes and torches.
I was unsure about the response.
"Oh, you are hearing my voice," I said.
"Yes," the spider man said.
"You like me too," I asked.
"Yes," the spider man said.
"But you like me. What about her?"
I asked and pointed to the tentacle that was sticking out of the pit and could reach me at every moment.
"Yes," the spider man said.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
