@nice topic. I believe it boils down to a lot of factors. One of them is gender inequality where the male child is held to a higher value than the female. So because of that, men are channeled to some of these courses considered more technical than women. They believe that the men will do well in such courses because they probably have the mental capacity to cope. So more sensitization needs to be down that women are probably capable of doing most if not all the things a man can do.
