A couple of days ago I saw an image that said "choose well who you decide to spend the rest of your life with, so that in times of quarantine they don't want to kill each other", at the time it was something that caused me a lot of laughter, but it is a phrase with a lot of logic, and I think that part of what he says is one of the reasons why I'm still single, sometimes it's not easy to get people with the same mental disorder as you and we usually end up in fights and arguments over stupid things in situations like the ones we have to live with today.
In China it was reported that the divorce rate increased considerably thanks to the quarantine, something that is regrettable, since that leaves much to be desired of what is the basis of a solid family, on my part and although I am single, I have been able to see my brother with his wife living his quarantine very calmly, although at times my sister-in-law writes me a WhatsApp telling me that she gives me my brother because she cannot stand him, haha, and it is something logical, my brother, in normal conditions, he spends at least 8 hours out of the house working and sometimes until the weekends, while she works from home and has her apartment just for her during the day, then suddenly you have to have him home all day 24/7, it's a strong change and it's where compatibility and even love between the two is tested, I think nobody has spent as much time together with their partners as in these last days.
On the other hand, there are my parents, who have already spent so much time working from home and have known how to organize themselves so as not to spend the whole day together, which is something that does not affect them, while my father is taking out a backlog of work in his electronics workshop, my mother is in her sewing workshop or attending to my son, so they only agree when they go to eat or if one brings the other a coffee, I think they have found the solution to life as a couple at home, then at night at dinner time they stay talking for hours and hours as if they were both out of the house all day, I really admire them, and I always wonder how much they talk if they don't leave the house hahaha.
Others who have been touched strongly is all those couples of boyfriends who do not share a life together and on the contrary, have not been able to see each other in weeks and now the kisses and hugs have only become promises of when we see each other again or WhatsApp stickers. For example, a week before all this started in my country, a friend told me that he was finally dating someone he loved and felt reciprocated, when he finally found what he was looking for, this arrived and he did not let his romance continue with expectations of something more serious. Those jealous people who have a partner and can't see him because of this situation, must be dying but not because of the virus but because of the things that happen in their minds for not being able to be with their partner.
In general terms, this pandemic, this confinement, this quarantine affects much more than physical health, it affects mental health, it is testing many people and their relationships. Many today make jokes about it but the truth is that it is something to think about and reflect on, and also to take advantage of the opportunity and if you are in a couple, to strengthen the relationship, because at the end of the day relationships are like their name says, of two, and are built between the two, and this is a test to know how strong yours is and how right was the decision you made at the time of choosing it.
