This year I still didn't visit the ground squirrels but due to covid and my focus on bird photography I totally forget about these cute little creatures and I have to admit that I didn't take a picture of them till today this year. So the pictures you see here are from former years, where I visited them several times in spring and summer. Maybe I will visit Vienna next weekend, so probably it stops by for a short photo session with them, but I still don't know about this, because it depends on the weather and several other conditions.

I always enjoy taking pictures of these cute animals because they are very cooperative and it easy to get very close to them. For taking some beautiful pictures it is important to get as close as possible. Of course it helps that I use a lens with up to 600mm but still with animals this small it is important to get very close for a nice picture.
